This unique predominantly British built steam railway video experience travels with a special train the length and breadth of Pakistan in 1988. Shed scenes, loco profiles, dramatic scenery, run pasts and local interest compliment a great railway adventure that shows, as never before, the remaining steam power of this fascinating country.

The Indus Express features SGS. (Great Central Robinson styled 0-6-0's), CWD 2-8-2's. SGC and HGS locomotives. Narrow gauge 1920s ZB class 2-6-2's and GS 2-8-2's along with metre gauge action from SP. YD and YE types. The climax of this superb tape featuring classic SPS 4-4-0 mainline steam action.

The Indus Express reached into the dangerous Afghan North West frontier border regions and witnessed the existence of hundreds of steam locomotives on its travels. Some locations reached within days of the end of steam.
