A high speed, all action thriller! Whilst on a mission to bust a circle of industrial saboteurs, two undercover cops are ambushed. Lonnie is dead, and Michael Long, barely alive. However, with the aid of an ailing millionaire, Wilton Knight, Michael survives. The country's best plastic surgeons are employed to reconstruct his face - but not his own. Wilton arranges a new identity for him - Michael Knight. During his recovery, the Knight Enterprise Laboratory scientists are working overtime to produce a sensitive, computerised, and indestructible car for Michael. The car is called the Knight 2000 and its speaking computer K.I.T.T. is in tune with a sensor carefully implanted in Michael's brain. Three months later, fully recovered, Michael sets off with his new identity to avenge Lonnie's assassins and to continue his fight for justice. But this time he knows he has the help of a formidable force... The Knight 2000!
