Fireball XL2 is missing. so Fireball XL5 is sent to investigate. A distress call from the planet Monotane leads them to discover the wreck of XL2 and a giant space monster guarding the entrance to a cave. Where are the missing crew?

A cunning plot is hatched by Mr and Mrs Space Spy... to help the Nomadlans - q travelling people • and at the same time kill Steve Zodiac • but alt is not as it seems!

Two remaining survivors of a planet are being relentlessly hunted by a deadly fistfirnan with the discharge of his poisonous smoke gun seeping towards them. Fireball XL5 is rushing to their aid but deadly dartger awaits.

Whilst q damaged Fireball XL9 returns to Earth for repairs having been attacked. Fireball XL5 takes over their patrols. in preparation. Steve Zodiac heads XL5 to the nearest space station to refuel, but finds it empty. Is this a trap?
