A TRAIL OF KILLINGS follows a plain clothes cop and a crime tycoon's girlfriend as they are pursued across Switzerland. Charlie Congers (CHARLES BRONSON) is sent to Switzerland by the FBI to bring back Jackie Pruit (JILL IRELAND), mistress of New York crime boss, Joe Bomposa (ROD STEIGER). Bomposa now wants Jackie killed. As they daringly evade the men sent to eliminate her, Jackie and Charlie begin to fall in love. The chase across Europe becomes more frenzied for Charlie as the web of political intrigue, double cross and triple cross threatens to engulf him. In the final denouement, Charlie and Bomposa come face to face... Who is the victor, and whom the victim?
