For generations, families of mice have made their homes in Brambly Hedge, a dense and tangled hedgerow that borders the field on the other side of the stream.

One particularly fine summer, romance was in the air. Poppy, who worked in the dairy, was seeing a great deal of Dusty from the flour mill. Finally Dusty plucked up the courage to propose to Poppy. A date was set and plans were made for an unusual wedding...a very unusual wedding indeed!

The World of Brambly Hedge

Additional to this video release is a 15 minute special The World of Brambly Hedge. Children are taken on a trip around Brambly Hedge, visiting the Store Stump to discover how Mr Apple looks after the mice harvest so carefully, and to the mill to find out how Dusty Dogwood makes flour out of wheat. These are just a few of the highlights from this entrancing film.
